My Story
I welcome you on board! I am Leonidas Kampourakis,
your Skipper. Get to know all about me and my love for sailing!

I have been sailing for as long as I can remember. At 12 years old, I was distinguished as the youngest member of the sailing crew to take part in the open sea Aegean sailing race. At the age of 17, I was honored with multiple wins in sailboat racing competitions and had experience with all types of recreational vessels.
At 19, I decided to pursue a career at sea and succeeded in entering the Academy of Commercial Navy, from which I graduated in 2006, with the degree of Captain of Merchant Navy. To this day, I travel in seagoing vessels all around the world as a Captain in commercial tankers.

Poseidon Yachts was conceptualized in my vision dream board, many years ago!
My love for sailing is a constant in my life, and throughout my adventures I never stopped exploring the hidden treasures of the Greek Archipelagos, with various types of sailing vessels. I decided to share the awe of discovering the Mediterranean sea jewels with others, seeking the thrill of a sailing vacation in the Greek islands under the guidance of an experienced Captain.
It was thus that Poseidon Yachts was created! Named after Poseidon, god of the seas, its first vessel could not have any other name than that of Amphitrite, Poseidon’s wife. When traveling in dreamlike destinations with an experienced captain and the gods by your side, you can only expect the best!
My vision for Poseidon Yachts is that of a great fleet, that will cater to the needs of every traveler with quality, safety, and respect to the environment.
